Obituary for Ann Loretta Everett

EVERETT
Ann Loretta
Passed away peacefully at Fairview Manor, Almonte in the early morning hours of December 31, 2018 after enduring the ravages of Alzheimer’s for over ten years. Ann was the beloved daughter of the late Kay and Gerald Everett of Deux Montagnes, Quebec and was a wonderful big sister to John (Selene), Frank (Michele) and Kathleen (Wayne). While her family is happy she is finally at rest, she will remain in our hearts and minds forevermore as the loving, talented, active and capable woman she was before she became ill. She will be missed by her nieces, nephews, and many friends. As a daughter, a sister, a niece, an aunt, a friend, a teacher and a musician, Ann always put others first, graciously sharing her time and many talents to make someone else’s day better.

A small memorial-celebration for Ann will be held on Saturday, January 19 at 11 am at The Grand Hotel, Carleton Place, Ont.

For those who may choose to honour Ann with a memorial donation, please consider your local Alzheimer Society, or to The Dementia Society (dementiahelp.ca) which serves the Ottawa-Renfrew area.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the
C. R. GAMBLE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL Inc..
127 Church Street, Almonte, Ont. (613)256-3313

My sympathies to Ann's family. She modelled how to be a kind and gentle teacher. I remember her as a very relaxed, quietly funny lady. Rest in peace Ann.

I love that picture of Ann. It's exactly how I remember her from years ago. She always had a ready smile, a great sense of humour, and a quiet confidence. Everyone loved being around her. She would entertain us at the piano for hours at family gatherings. She was gifted yet incredibly humble. She will be deeply missed. My condolences to my cousins Kathleen, Frank, John, and their families and friends. Rest well Ann in your Saviour's loving Arms.
